| Discipleship On The Trail (July 22 - 25) |
|
DOTT has become an annual event for a group of our men to hike through a local wilderness for several days while studying the Bible with Senior Pastor Cliff Boone. These have been excellent times to enjoy God's creation, get to know one another, and to discuss and meditate on Scripture together.
DOTT is open to all able-bodied men of the church at least 16 years old.
The 2010 event will be a 3-day hike of the northern loop of the Black Forest Trail. The team will depart from the church Thursday evening, July 22 and camp in a state park near the trail head. We will then do ~10 miles the first day, 9 miles the second day and 6 miles the last day. All food and gear will be packed in and out.
In 2009, the men journeyed on Loyalsock Trail.
In 2008, 16 men took 4 days to hike the Old Logger's Trail (near World's End State Park).
In 2007, the first annual DOTT hike travelled the West Rim Trail overlooking the Pine Creek Gorge.
